Summer Vibes Continue through September!
Tuesday Nights in Jenkintown offers live music provided by the Jenkintown Rec Board plus a farmer’s market with locally sourced products and fantastic vendors.
Jenkintown Night Market Delights
A visit August 8th was a joy filled experience with good vibes, great merchants and mouth watering food for a memorable celebration on a perfect evening. Jenkintown Night Market has done a fantasic job with a rich mix of vendors. The crowd, was, as usual, a lovely mix of young families and adults of all ages, and more than a few beautiful pups with their humans. Alex Bartlett provided the live music with a number of musical guests, and a crowd pleasing folksy opener, Basil Khan. Every week a different act performs to keep the celebration going through Tuesday, September 26th. See Full Schedule Below
The fun vibe was aided by friendly vendors selling everything from gorgeous farm products (see the pics below!) to locally sourced honey, local craft beers and wine, Aunt Orphia’s famous Pound Cake, and Piazza’s own, Lilly’s Indian Cuisine. Lilly’s delicious and not too spicy Samosa’s were the perfect finger food. Prices for all products were easy on the wallet and provided great value. Many local Jenkintown shops offer specials on Tuesdays to join the fun, including Olive Lucy and Mister Rick’s Hoagies.
As we approach peak harvest season the offerings are broad and at peak ripeness. Fragrant tomatoes, watermelon, blackberries, corn, okra, peppers, and more offer a feast for the senses.
